Auburn University Student Takes the Crown

Sophie Burzynski, a 22-year-old student at Auburn University, was crowned Miss Alabama USA 2023 on January 28, 2023.

Burzynski competed against 36 other women from around the state for the title. She will now represent Alabama in the Miss USA pageant later this year.

Burzynski is a political science major and plans to attend law school after she graduates. She is passionate about helping others and has volunteered with several organizations, including the Boys & Girls Club of America and the United Way.

As Miss Alabama USA, Burzynski will have the opportunity to promote her platform, "Empowering Women Through Education and Leadership." She hopes to inspire young women to pursue their dreams and make a difference in the world.
