Competition Format to Change for 2024
The 2024 Leagues Cup is the ongoing fourth edition, an international club soccer tournament contested by Major League Soccer (MLS) and Liga MX clubs.
Leagues Cup Group Stage includes 15 matches between August 3-6, 2023, including exciting cross-league matches such as the highly-awaited Group East 3.
In the 2024 season, the tournament will expand beyond the group stage to include the Round of 16, which will be played on August 12-13.
- The top two teams from each group will advance to the Round of 16
- The Round of 16 matches will be single-elimination
- The winners of the Round of 16 will advance to the quarter-finals
The quarter-finals and semi-finals will be played on August 15-16, and the final will be played on August 17.
The 2024 Leagues Cup will be the largest edition of the tournament to date, with 27 teams participating.
The tournament will be played in the United States and Canada, with the final being played at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington.
